Multistakeholder Dialogue: Navigating Global Geopolitical Change And Uncertainty

The global geopolitical landscape is undergoing profound changes – technological, economic and political. Intensifying geopolitical tensions, armed conflicts, increasing trade fragmentation, and growing competition over critical minerals and strategic technologies are reshaping the global economic and political order.

Recognising these developments, the Presidential Climate Commission (PCC), the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), and the National Planning Commission (NPC), have developed advisory communique reflecting on the implications of the current global environment.

The Advisory was interrogated by a wider audience through a multistakeholder dialogue on the strategic actions required to position South Africa within increasingly uncertain global environment. The dialogue aimed to foster a shared understanding of how these geopolitical dynamics are reshaping South Africa’s development context and to explore practical policy responses that strengthen South Africa’s integrated developmental approach.
